Hi!  I’m Ian Renton, a software engineer and programmer from Bournemouth, England.  I have a BSc in Physics from Southampton University, and now write software (amongst other things) in the defence industry.

These days, 99% of my time is spent working, working, cooking or doing family things (see photo, right, of Child Unit 001).  On the rare occasion I do get some free time, I like to read and to write fiction, study martial arts, sail, firestaff & poi.  I have pretty much the full set of geek activities too: I fix computers, play videogames, read comics, roleplay, LRP, etc.
